As a regular reader of our Blog you know that we are true believers that Software as a Service (SaaS) is the preferred solution for our clients from a portability and cost stand point.  However like so many solutions there are many different aspects to be considered.

A recent article from SearchSecurity.com highlights one more key consideration before using SaaS, the fact you do not have the same legal protection from civil or governmental search and seizure as when it resides on your premises.

The SaaS are not legally required to inform you about this and may in fact be gagged from telling you.
